What We Do

Saint Mary of the Assumption Foundation

Youth Ministry

Adult Education

In the Fall of 2015 our parish hired a youth minister to serve the spiritual and community needs of our young people in high school and middle school. Our St. Mary of the Assumption Foundation has made a gift to the parish to assist in the the initial startup costs of these new programs for our young people.

Our parish launched the Alpha Program in January to evangelize current parishioners and to attract persons who are looking for truth and the meaning of life. The Lord calls each of us in His Church to share the Good News of Salvation with all people. Seeing our parish desiring to fulfill this important mandate of Jesus Christ with this special program, our Foundation has gifted money to the parish to support the Alpha Program and other such adult education efforts.

Another adult education effort  is the SYMBOLON series which began during Easter of 2016. The SYMBOLON series helps participants to better understand and grow into the practice of the Catholic faith and sacramental life.

Cemetery Support

The St. Mary of the Assumption Foundation has given grants for upkeep and repairs to the St. Mary Cemetery including a large grant to repave the roads in the cemetery.

Tuition Assistance

Each year the St. Mary of the Assumption Foundation gives at least $20,000 in grants to student parishioners to help cover the cost of tuition at St. Mary Grade School. Because of the generosity of members of St. Mary Parish, a Parish Tuition Assistance Fund has been recently created to support grants to student parishioners attending Catholic high schools.

Maintenance of Parish Property

The Foundation established the Parish Maintenance Fund in the summer of 2017. The purpose of this will be will to assist in a maintaining and improvement of Parish owned buildings and facilities.
